Mullion is ideally situated for touring the unspoilt Lizard Peninsula. The village is less than 5 minutes walk and there are several excellent restaurants and a lovely old thatched inn which dates back to the 16th Century.
Mullion is the largest village on the peninsula. It has a 15th Century church which is set in the middle of the village (almost next door to the inn). Mullion Cove is a small attractive working harbour with two sturdy stone sea walls to protect it from the gales that rage across Mounts Bay in the winter. It is owned by the National Trust.

Nearby Poldhu Cove is an ideal, easy to reach family beach and is popular with surfers. The cliffs above are world famous as this is where in December 1901, Marconi successfully conducted his famous experiments in transatlantic radio communications and the Marconi Monument can be seen along the coastal path to Poldhu Cove. On the 12th December 2001 the Marconi Wireless Museum was opened and it is situated on the site of the old Wireless Station. Polurrian Cove is less than 15 minutes from Parc Cres. Mullion boasts an 18 hole golf course with magnificent views to Gunwalloe Church Cove and Poldhu Cove.
