FERN COTTAGE GUEST HOUSE
Fern Cottage is situated less than a minute's walk to Lake Windermere.
Fern Cottage was built from locally quarried stone and slate in 1884 and is situated no more than a minute's walk from Ambleside Pier and the shores of Lake Windermere. All the bedrooms have en-suite facilities and are decorated and furnished to a very high standard. VisitBritain awarded us a four Star, Silver Grading which reflects our high standards of hospitality. Many of our guests comment upon the delicious breakfasts served at Fern Cottage, mainly due to the extensive menu which caters for all tastes. Dinner in the evening is not a problem as pub, café and restaurant meals are all available within easy walking distance of the cottage.
